On a Back Road

Darn it, hope you can see the Indian Blankets there.  There are so many now, parts of the country is red.  It’s been a really good year for the wild flowers.  This county is the best of all, it’s like you can get to the county line, and,,oops, no more flowers.  In every direction.

The new neighbors to the East of me, got an Australian Sheppard puppy.  I groaned,  cause this neighborhood has been a quiet place for the 12 years l’ve been here.  Now, sure enough, they are letting it run loose, and of course, it’s barking at every little thing.  Hate to have a talk with them, but I’m going to.  There’s a pen there, which I did mention, but the dog isn’t in it.  He said he was going to make one, but,,,when?  Hate to rain on his parade, but,,,,Not a dog lover,,,sorry yall.

That’s it, folks, so tc, and

  1. Know only too well what it is like to have neighbors with barking dogs both in Del Rio and Houston.

Hope you don't make an enemy out of your neighbor because a lot of pet owners get upset if you mention their little pooches are making way too much racket :-(

  3. Get a dog muzzle, about $10, and take it over to them. Ask them to use it from 8 pm to 8 am. Perhaps they will get the clue.... Good luck. Our little one will bark at squirrels, other dogs, but we are on top of it, don't let them wander around others, and she is pretty good. Bubba rarely barks, and never unless Skruffy gets him going. Us dog lovers have to respect those who are not dog lovers. Sure sorry to hear your having problems, but I think a good conversation (and a dog muzzle if you wish) would do the trick.

    1. They were gone all day yesterday, and the dog didn't bark today,,,so,,, haven't done anything yet. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
If it were my pet, I would not mind doing something about it. And yes, that's respect for your neighbor.
