Enough?

Think this is enough? hahahaha,,, It was parked at the grocery store yesterday.

Somehow when i transferred a picture from facebook, i ended up with about 300 i had to remove, took a while,, lol. And i did it in multiple bunches. I think it took the whole day. lol.

I need to go get in the shower, instead of doing this. I've gotten really bad about delaying....

Finally after 2 weeks, i think i'm getting better. I pulled another muscle in the same area, so,  i think that's what hurts now. I keep re-pulling it.

A blizzard in W TX? that's what the weather is saying.

You can see i don't have anything to say, so yall tc, and

GOOD MORNING

Felt like i was paralyzed when i woke up this morning, had to force myself to turn over, get up. Now it feels like i pulled something and i can barely move or sit,,, or anything,,, lol. I took a pain pill right after 5, do can't take another one yet. I twist and turn trying to get relief and cant,, it's in y right hip area, and gosh it hurts.

Ok enough, i'm just getting old,,and older.

Working with the animal control officer here on that yapping dog next door. I'm at keeping a list of date, time, etc. Calling in and asking them to put a note in his box about it. After the holidays he will take it to a judge and hopefully something will be done. I called in at 2:30am yesterday,,, lol. Hopefully an officer went by and woke THEM up.

My nephew's house burned all the way down Wed. nite during the nite. He got out with a few burns, but lost everything. Worst thing is,, the fund set up for him was done by my sister (another one) and she will just take out anything she wants for herself. I sent my niece a question about it, but wont donate a thing til i know who's in charge, and probably a lot more feel the same way. That sister and the rest of the family do NOT associate. Her husband, a baptist preacher, sexually abused children, family ones too, and when we all found out, she took HIS side and stayed with him. But even their own kids won't let THEIR kids around him. He pleaded guilty and got 10 years probation at his trial, and we were assured he would end up in prison, BUT,, he hasn't and it's about over. Then he will be totally free. When any of us have called his probation officer about things he's done, all they do is slap his wrist, say,, dont do it again.

Enough of that too lol.

I sent an email thru My Chart to my pain doc, and a nurse called me and i was told that the RFA would still work, what i was concerned about, and it might even be a little more than 3 weeks. When i carried in a heavy load of groceries, then next day, a heavy trash bag out, i was down for a day. I wasn't told bout that. But now i know,,,

I decided i would just hand out the few gifts i got for my kids, and a few others... Just not up to plugging in my tree, wrapping, or anything. Gonna try to make one of the jello salads for dinner that day and that's it.

Sure hope yall have a great Xmas, and able to be with family... so,, tc and

DD, What'd You Say?

It took overnite for it to sink in.... You said,,,YOU'RE SELLING YOUR MOTORHOME!!!OMG,, you never even used it!!! OMG! Guess you might as well,, not gonna use it, get rid of it, huh.

But to me, it's so sad. Such hi hopes to blow and go, then it just stayed parked, wrecked it up moving it around in your driveway.

I had the RFA, radio frequency ablation, done Monday. Hasn't done it's thing yet, could take a week or more. And BB, don't be a wuss. The deadening hurt the worst. They did tell me later i did SUPER good, and by that they meant i didn't scream and holler...hahahaha,,, i thot she was joking, but she wasn't. I told her i would never have done that, had 4 kids and never did that either. She said we were old school, grit your teeth, take it. My son always took his mouth guard to use.

The nerves will take up to 3 weeks to be fully burned into, and the doc said she had high hopes on this one. (me). She did the deadening for 4 areas, then started the other... after one i said, 3 more... She said Nope, all thru.. hahahaha. Did the 4 from that.

You know, all this year i have been in severe pain, got to where i didn't know what i was gonna have to do, and asked about this. The tests weren't done til then! Why didn't someone tell me my options?
I guess it was because they kept passing me back and forth between hip and spine docs. Probably my fault, couldn't do that MRI.

BB, i'm concerned about you, so please get something done about your stomach, back,,and whatever else you need, ya hear? You need to get back to TX you know. Some of the greatest docs in the world are in Houston. Even if you have to stop and spend time on the way,,, soon as you can, do it.

Springtime, here. Been hot for days, and will be til Sat. nite, then a stormy front will go thru. Not much change tho.

I looked at the date yesterday,,, and it registered on me... 15 days til Xmas? OOOOO WOW. I've done nothing and might not. I do have the gifts, cause i do them way early every year...I buy gifts just whenever all year,,, put them away and have them when i want them. So never any last minute thing.

Ok,, thru with this, yall tc, and

Just a Small Number of Who Was There

You didn't know you could play poker with this many? lol. There are several games that is unlimited players. We do dealer's choice and there are lots of games. See the little one on the left? Yep, she plays some of them too. lol. It's their risk, have to play with no help and if they lose, too bad.

I didn't make it for dinner, just wasn't able, but did go down there about 4PM, and stayed for a long time. Here in the garage where the poker was going on...At times there were even more than this playing. SUCH a good time! Brad brought me a plate at noon, after calling to ask what i wanted, and when he discovered later he had brought the wrong dressing, here he came with the right one, AND the gravy too..... hahahaha (he had forgotten that).

They were passing a quart jar of moonshine around, and by 8,,, none of them should have been driving,,,O, they had their beer sitting around in the ice chests,,,moonshine was a plus. Needless to say, i did a LOT of LOL...

My friend Sue sent me TWO plates, one with hot stuff, other cold, and OMG,,,I haven't even gotten into them yet, but i will start for lunch today. Plus about 5 of her homemade rolls..YUMMMMMMMMM Had one of those with my breakfast.

The icy front hit here about 9am,,, DD, and in just minutes my windows were fogging. Rain too. Such a great day to stay in by the heater, with my book, and some of my recordings on tv. I love Alaska, the last frontier, so i have hours and hours of that recorded. Plus my jigsaw set up,, need help with. lol.

Have any of you actually gone out to shop today? I saw this LONG line on tv from yesterday,,,waiting for JCP to open.

Well getting back to my games, so yall tc, and

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Yall.........

Not sure even now, if i can make it to my brother's house,, 1/2 a block from me, for dinner. The full pain has come back, i think the injections wore off, so walking, standing, moving of any kind, is very very painful. I could probably get into the house but then there's still a lot of standing and moving around the tables,,,buffet style. Guess i'll wait and see,,,, around 11:30 or so. Pretty sure i can talk someone into bringing me a plate or 2,,, lol, wellllll, 1 for desserts you know....

Hungry now, so yall tc, and

Verdict Coming UP

The injections worked pretty good, so she did the next set. These tell her it's actually those nerves coming from my spine so the radio frequency ablation will be on the right ones, and will burn them into. It will last 6 months to a year, she said, cause the nerves will grow back.....(couldn't wait to tell my son that). The injections yesterday will help more than the first round and i can tell pretty much even today. Not using my walker like i was. Still using the pain pills tho.

If i don't get a lot better, i can't go to my bro's house for Thanksgiving, due to the walking i would have to do. And so many people there, the chairs to sit in, etc. Hard on this ol leg, hip pain. Kinda sounds pretty good, lol, and i think someone would bring me some plates... lol, you do see the plural there dont ya? I always bring home one plate of desserts, little of this, little of that makes a plate full you know. Also, the main turkey or ham, or pot roast, whatever, and all the zillions of sides.

I stopped to get my fresh eggs from my friend and ooooo wow! She and her dotter gave me a plate of deer meat, mashed potatoes and gravy!! too. Her dotter does the hunting and had gotten one that morning.  Just had breakfast and getting hungry all over again, thinking about that.....

All i got yall, so tc, and

Roping A Deer-
(Names have been removed to protect the Stupid)
I had this idea that I was going to rope a deer, put it in a stall, feed it up on corn for a couple of weeks, then kill it and eat it.
The first step in this adventure was getting a deer. I figured that, since they congregate at my cattle feeder and do not seem to have much fear of me when we are there (a bold one will sometimes come right up and sniff at the bags of feed while I am in the back of the truck not 4 feet away), it should not be difficult to rope one, get up to it and toss a bag over its head (to calm it down) then hog tie it and transport it home.
I filled the cattle feeder then hid down at the end with my rope.
The cattle, having seen the roping thing before, stayed well back. They were not having any of it.
After about 20 minutes, my deer showed up - 3 of them. I picked out...a likely looking one, stepped out from the end of the feeder, and threw...my rope. The deer just stood there and stared at me.
I wrapped the rope around my waist and twisted the end so I would have a good hold. The deer still just stood and stared at me, but you could tell it was mildly concerned about the whole rope situation.
I took a step towards it...it took a step away. I put a little tension on the rope and then received an education.
The first thing that I learned is that, while a deer may just stand there looking at you funny while you rope it, they are spurred to action when you start pulling on that rope.
That deer EXPLODED.
The second thing I learned is that pound for pound, a deer is a LOT stronger than a cow or a colt. A cow or a colt in that weight range I could fight down with a rope and with some dignity.
A deer – no chance.
That thing ran and bucked and twisted and pulled.
There was no controlling it and certainly no getting close to it.
As it jerked me off my feet and started dragging me across the ground, it occurred to me that having a deer on a rope was not nearly as good and idea as I had originally imagined.
The only up side is that they do not have as much stamina as many other animals.
A brief 10 minutes later, it was tired and not nearly as quick to jerk me off my feet and drag me when I managed to get up. It took me a few minutes to realize this, since I was mostly blinded by the blood flowing out of the big gash in my head. At that point, I had lost my taste for corn-fed venison. I just wanted to get that devil creature off the end of that rope.
I figured if I just let it go with the rope hanging around its neck, it would likely die slow and painfully somewhere. At the time, there was no love at all between me and that deer. At that moment, I hated the thing, and I would venture a guess that the feeling was mutual.
Despite the gash in my head and the several large knots where I had cleverly arrested the deer’s momentum by bracing my head against various large rocks as it dragged me across the ground, I could still think clearly enough to recognize that there was a small chance that I shared some tiny amount of responsibility for the situation we were in, so I didn’t want the deer to have to suffer a slow death, so I managed to get it lined back up in between my truck and the feeder - a little trap I had set before hand...kind of like a squeeze chute.
I got it to back in there and I started moving up so I could get my rope back.
Did you know that deer bite?
They do! I never in a million years would have thought that a deer would bite somebody, so I was very surprised when I reached up there to grab that rope and the deer grabbed hold of my wrist.
Now, when a deer bites you, it is not like being bit by a horse where they just bite you and then let go. A deer bites you and shakes its head – almost like a pit bull. They bite HARD and it HURTS.
The proper thing to do when a deer bites you is probably to freeze and draw back slowly. I tried screaming and shaking instead. My method was ineffective. It seems like the deer was biting and shaking for several minutes, but it was likely only several seconds.
I, being smarter than a deer (though you may be questioning that claim by now), tricked it! I tricked that deer!
While I kept it busy tearing the tendons out of my right arm, I reached up with my left hand and pulled that rope loose. That was when I got my final lesson in deer behavior for the day.
Deer will strike at you with their front feet. They rear right up on their back feet and strike...right about head and shoulder level, and their hooves are surprisingly sharp. I learned a long time ago that, when an animal–like a horse–strikes at you with their hooves and you can’t get away easily, the best thing to do is try to make a loud noise and make an aggressive move towards the animal. This will usually cause them to back down a bit so you can escape.
This was not a horse.
This was a deer, so obviously, such trickery would not work. In the course of a millisecond, I devised a different strategy. I screamed and hollered and tried to turn and run.
The reason I had always been told NOT to try to turn and run from a horse that paws at you is that there is a good chance that it will hit you in the back of the head. Deer may not be so different from horses after all, besides being twice as strong and 3 times as evil, because the second I turned to run, it hit me right in the back of the head and knocked me down.
Now, when a deer paws at you and knocks you down, it does not immediately leave. I suspect it does not recognize that the danger has passed. What they do instead is paw your back and jump up and down on you wile you are laying there crying and trying to cover your head.
I finally managed to crawl under the truck and the deer finally went away.
So now I know why when people go deer hunting they bring a rifle with a scope to sort of even the odds.

Wow

Checked in to MysticMuds blog and was informed i couldn't read it because i wasn't approved! hahahaha Only reason i wanted to is because i wanted to see if she was still bumming off people, asking for hand outs. That was the reason i left it anyway. Anybody doing this? Or signed up? Hate bums!

My g/dotter showed up with one, and i had to tell her SHE and the baby could stay anytime, but NEVER him any more. My God, he's 46 and still doing online classes to earn some kind of a degree, (excuse for not working). Now he's too old to even get a 20 year retirement. Talks about all these high paying jobs he can get,, well dude,,, where are they? Surely she'll wake up. No one can stand him around here, probably anywhere else too.

Gosh, had a hard time trying to sleep last nite, with this pain. No position worked. and i barely could get up this morning. I guess i set too long in a bad chair at my brother's yesterday. It's like i'm sore from the pain, BAD! Gonna stay pretty inactive today. for sure! And here i thot those injections were working... (plz plz work).

Took a couple of pictures yesterday, the Friday before deer season... Usually can't get thru town, with the hunters everywhere. We advertised we're the capitol of TX in deer hunting. Used to be the USA, and before that, the world.... lol. Just know there's LOTs. We have 2 cousins down from Sherman and are out at my Sis's today, unless the rain made them wait. She told them they better not shoot her doe and her twins. Hope they don't but others might. On the river, right behind her, they could get shot any time. There's been 3 bucks coming there too, and she told them they were ok.

As a matter of fact, i haven't heard any big guns going off today,,,, hmmmm, rain must have messed a lot up.

Having trouble with my u not wanting to work.

All the merchants raised their prices for the hunters. Groceries, gas, but when i went in to get a kid's bun at Inman's Kitchen, home of turkey sausage, and with the beans, total was over 6.00, i just canceled and left. That little 1/2 cup of beans were 1.95!!!,,, Nope, not me. Should come with the other food, like Cooper's does.

Mercy! I've gotta take a nap,,,think i can get into my laz/y/boy and do it. Yall tc, and

Got Started

Yep, got started on this pain issue. Doc  put injections of something other than steroids into 5 of my lower spine joints. There will be another round next Monday too. This will help her locate the nerve that is causing the pain so she can kill it. This morning it's already better. This is all in preparation for the ablation implant. I told her that even if i had to have the surgery and it killed me, i could NOT live with this. I could barely walk or get up, or get into my car. And now my left knee is really giving me problems... lol.

Why do we have to get old?

I got a chicken dinner at the chicken place for supper, and couldnt even eat one piece. I just can't eat that greasy stuff any more, and would not have gotten it if anything else had been open,,, i mean like restaurants. Why do all of them have to close on Monday? I eat from Sonic so much because they do have a varied menu, should have just gone back there. It really IS cheaper for me to pick up something, than to cook. I keep thinking i should start using my crockpot, and maybe i will,,, some day,, lol.

Ok, yall, sitting here trying to think of something else going on, but,,, it's not, so tc, and

13 Southern Sayings the Rest of America Won’t Understand

POSTED ON  WITH 274 COMMENTS
Language discrepancies naturally arise in different geographic regions, like the raging pop vs. soda debate, but the South undoubtedly takes the cake.
Conversations south of the Mason-Dixon line will befuddle anyone not born there.
We chose 13 of the most ridiculous Southern sayings — and tried to explain them.
Cotton
1. “We’re living in high cotton.”
Cotton has long been a key crop to the South’s economy, so every harvest farmers pray for tall bushes loaded with white fluffy balls in their fields. Tall cotton bushes are easier to pick and yield higher returns. If you’re living “in high cotton,” it means you’re feeling particularly successful or wealthy.
2. “She was madder than a wet hen.”
Hens sometimes enter a phase of “broodiness” — they’ll stop at nothing to incubate their eggs and get agitated when farmers try to collect them. Farmers used to dunk hens in cold water to “break” their broodiness.
You don’t want to be around a hormonal hen after she’s had an ice bath.
3. “He could eat corn through a picket fence.”
This describes someone with an unfortunate set of buck teeth. They tend to stick up and outward, like a horse’s teeth. Imagine a horse eating a carrot, and you’ll get the picture.
4. “You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.”
A pig’s ear may look soft, pink, and shiny, but you’re not fooling anyone by calling it your new Marc Jacobs bag. A Southerner might say this about her redneck cousin who likes to decorate his house with deer antlers.
5. “You look rode hard and put up wet.”
No, this isn’t Southern sexual innuendo. The phrase refers to a key step in horse grooming — when a horse runs fast, it works up a sweat, especially under the saddle. A good rider knows to walk the horse around so it can dry off before going back to the stable. A horse will look sick and tired if you forget this step, much like a person who misses sleep or drinks too much.
6. “He’s as drunk as Cooter Brown.”
Cooter Brown is an infamous character in Southern lore. Legend tells that he lived on the Mason-Dixon line — the border between the North and South — during the Civil War. To avoid the draft on either side, Cooter decided to stay drunk throughout the entire war, making him ineligible for battle.
Inebriated Southerners have measured their drunkenness by him ever since.
7. “She’s as happy as a dead pig in the sunshine.”
When a pig dies, presumably in a sty outside, the sun dries out its skin. This effect pulls the pig’s lips back to reveal a toothy “grin,” making it look happy even though it’s dead. This phrase describes a person who’s blissfully ignorant of reality.
8. “She’s got more nerve than Carter’s got Liver Pills.”
Carters Products started as a pill-peddling company in the latter part of the 19th century. Specifically, Carters repped its “Little Liver Pills” so hard a Southern saying spawned from the omnipresent advertisements.
Alas, the Federal Trade Commission forced the drug-group to drop the “liver” portion of the ad, claiming it was deceptive. Carter’s “Little Liver Pills” became Carter’s “Little Pills” in 1951, but the South doesn’t really pay attention to history. The phrase stuck.
9. “I’m finer than frog hair split four ways.”
Southerners mostly use this phrase to answer, “How are you?” Even those below the Mason-Dixon know frogs don’t have hair, and the irony means to highlight just how dandy you feel.
The phrase reportedly originated in C. Davis’ “Diary of 1865.”
10. “He thinks the sun comes up just to hear him crow.”
On farms (not just in the South) roosters usually crow when the sun rises. Their vociferous habit wakes up the house, signaling time to work.
An extremely cocky rooster might think the sun rises simply because he crows. Similarly, an extremely cocky man might think the same when he speaks — and also that everyone should listen to him.
11. “That’s about as useful as tits on a bull.”
Only female dairy cows produce milk. Male cows are called bulls. And even if you could “milk anything with nipples,” bulls tend to be rather ornery. Good luck with that.
12. “That thing is all catawampus.”
Catawampus adj: askew, awry, cater-cornered.
Lexicographers don’t really know how it evolved, though. They speculate it’s a colloquial perversion of “cater-corner.” Variations include: catawampous, cattywampus, catty wonkus. The South isn’t really big on details.
13. “He’s got enough money to burn a wet mule.”
In 1929, then-Governor of Louisiana Huey Long, nicknamed “The Kingfish,” tried to enact a five-cent tax on each barrel of refined oil to fund welfare programs. Naturally, Standard Oil threw a hissy fit and tried to impeach him on some fairly erroneous charges (including attending a drunken party with a stripper).
But Long, a good ole’ boy, fought back. He reportedly said the company had offered legislators as much as $25,000 for their votes to kick him out of office — what he called “enough money to burn a wet mule.”
We Northerners may not know what that means, but at least we know where it comes from.
Bonus: Bless Your Heart
Almost everyone knows Southern women drop this phrase constantly. But it might not mean what you think it means.
In reality, the phrase has little to do with religion and more to do with a passive-aggressive way to call you an idiot. Depending on your inflection, saying “bless your heart” can sting worse than any insult.
Enjoy. and

Exhausted

WHERE IS DIZZY?????

My company left Sat. morning, and i collapsed. Today finally, i feel a little better. I was up every few minutes during the nights, having to go to the bathroom. I called the pharmacist yesterday and he suggested i use Oxytron patches. These are prescription strength and you wear one for 4 days before you change them. OMG.... They WORK! In just a few minutes after putting one on, it started working. So last nite i slept and was just up a couple of times.

My g/dotter and baby and bf, went to Utah to visit his mom. Then they are going to Northern CA to see his dad.  They were not sure when they would get back, but they will have to find another place to stay. Maybe the motor home. IF they can find a place to park it.

WOW, heavy rain, lots of it, is forecast for the next few days..I'm sooo ready. I might have lost my big tree in the front, and maybe a few other things, but there's just nothing i can do about it.

I'm seeing the Doc tomorrow about this hip, and hope he says "let's put a new one in tomorrow" lol.

Well, i'm already out of things to say, so yall tc, and

Our weather forecast still doesn't show any rain!!!,,,We are so burned, i'm not sure about my big tree in front, and a couple of other things, and i can't get out to water. Hit 101 yesterday !!!

I'm seeing the orthopedic doc next week,,hope he says, get in that hospital and let's put a new hip in you... lol Hard to sleep when you can't lay any way and not hurt. I doze in my chair a lot during the day.

Diagnosis,, I'm Sane

Yep, found out im still sane. Told him my only problem was age,, then i told him not to ever get old...hahahaha,,, that sure didnt come out right. He had just gotten  married, going on his honeymoon next week. I also gave him some advice about raising kids, and,, he wrote it down! lmao. It was,,, play with them, that's what my Dad did, and i still miss him doing that. My nephew asked me when his first 2 girls were very small, and that's what i told him too, and he did. Has 3 great kids.

Got a call on the way back, and it was someone telling me they had scheduled me with the wrong doc for Monday, so they had to re-do. Now it's Wed. i hope, depends on the bus service. I needed an orthopedic spine doc, so now thats what it is.

There was a McDs next door and the driver took me thru the drive thru, and i got a salad that was sooooo goood. Wish someone here had something like that. Just ate about half, so had the rest for supper.

Boy! That riding just about kills me. I had to take another pain pill at bedtime, but boy, did i sleep. After getting home, it about killed me to have to get up and walk at all. Just woke up one time, thats really rare.

No great gran yet... overdue since the 21st. Mine were all about a week late, so just add it on from the get-go....

What i Found Out

Well,,, hells bells! Ain't no quick way to fix my pain. I have to see 2 other docs before i know what will be done. Maybe surgery to fix the problem... maybe that stimulator to take care of the pain.

Not only that, I have to go to Round Rock to see them. One is orthopedic spine doc, other is a psychiatrist. Now, I'm not all crazy,,, yet, but Medicare has to butt in and he's a requirement. Makes no sense to me.

I haven't seen Jude since yesterday morning. Not sure what he's up to, he's done this before. He's a good hunter, so when he gets hungry he'll show up.

Gotta get thru this, America's got Talent is coming on. Not liking Idol or So You Think You Can Dance any more. I think they are closing anyway.

Burnt Plugs for my Dryer

My brother changed these out this morning. Now i have a working dryer,,,, lol, threw a good one away and bought another one at a garage sale. Then, it didnt work either ! When he was looking at why it wasnt working, was when he saw these.

Remember that little bitty snake looking thing i had in my dining room? Was a year or 2 ago, and i put pics on here. WELL, Had one last week, and again yesterday. Other brother told me they were worm snakes. When i looked them up, yep, thats what they are.

Now, this.. It hopped across my living room, went behind my tv stand. I put a trap out, and a week or so later, Jude sniffed in the direction of the trap, so i looked the next day. (forgot then). It was laying about a foot from the trap, trap was thrown. Havent figured that out yet. Looking them up online, i thot it could be a kangaroo mouse, but the end of the tail isnt bushy. Not a plain mouse tho.

I sent a note to my doc im gonna see next week and asked about that radio frequency ablation. Havent heard back, but sure hope she does SOMETHING when im there on the 25th.

Im Still Around

Still the same ol, same ol. But gonna try to do a new post on here.

Been staying in, mostly. Its a wonder i dont have cabin fever haha. Have lots to occupy time after i do my thing on the laptop. And one of them is a nap,,, and its about that time....

I check into facebook several times a day. See what everybody is up to. About the only way i can keep in touch now. Nobody uses the phone any more, to stay in touch.

My great, OMG, granbaby is due on the 21st, a boy. Didn't think this would ever happen. Bet he's gonna be one of those red-headed, blue eyed kids. A friend has a grandchild that is soooo beautiful. Most unusual coloring, really rare. But this one could be like that too.

The shower was sooo fun. It was called a tie-dye baby shower, and you took something white or light, to tie-dye. Some beautiful creations. First time ive ever done it, but was told it was one of the best.

My dryer quit on me about a week or so ago, and i found one at a garage sale last Friday, bought it, got it delivered and hooked up, and NOTHING!!! Well, it ran, but no heat. I was told by them that it had been working prior to the sale, so i think something came loose. Maybe my bro will look at it. I know the ones having the sale, and i believe them. It was moved twice,, once there, then here.

Im still recording movies and some other stuff. Sometimes when i see the movie i dont watch it, just delete and go to another one. Had 2 to do, today. So about 5 nites a week when theres nothing on TV, thats what i do. I like a lot of the shows about Alaska too.

Cleaned my AC filters today. Let it go about 10 days. Like to do them once a month. By doing it on the first, i can remember, haha.

My doc talked me into doing some overdue tests, but i called and canceled the bone density one today, would take almost an hour, and since im still having bad pain in the hip, leg, just not gonna do that now. Will later. Did one about 12 years ago, and was great. Got a pneumonia vaccination, just on time. Theres 2 to do now. Got one,,, guess im good.

Just because im not doing a blog every day, doesnt mean im not reading them. Do that every day. Its just nothing new to write about, YET. haha. Ill get there.

Summer Blues

Dog days are here... Temps gonna be over that 100 now, for a while. I'm staying in almost all the time, short trips for supper and groceries, that's all. I entertain myself with internet stuff, jigsaw puzzles, movies, books, naps,,, lol.

My 2 brothers and i went for a joy ride yesterday. All around our side of Lake Buchanan, just to see water in it now. Just 7 feet below normal,, amazing! With the El Nino staying through the winter like they are predicting, it will fill up. AND, Texas is no longer in a drought.

Having trouble with flea control on Jude. I have my last application on the table now, waiting to catch him going out. Need to look into ordering some more.

Boiled 2 eggs to make chicken salad. Put the eggs on and forgot, so i hope they are done. I use relish instead of pickles chopped,,, easier. lol.

Just got up and made the C salad, eggs were WELL done.... Not sure if i want that or the red beans and rice left over from yesterday. Almost noon, and i'm hungry, so i'll have to decide pretty quick.

Just Not Interested in Doing This

Has it really been a month since i did a blog? There's just nothing to say, except same ol, same ol.

Had injections Tuesday in my spine again, she put 2 in from 2 directions. Not sure if it's gonna work or not. I'm still on pain meds, which i HATE. Can't sleep at nite because i can't find a comfortable position (without hurting).

See what i mean? Nothing new to say!

Hey i do have one good thing to say! Tons of rain up above Lake Buchanan, and it's going up about 9 or 10 feet. Will come up to about 1006, full is 1020. or so.

Well, that's all folks, tc, and

Tree Gone,,,:(((

Way too hot in the afternoons now.

My brother hasn't been here yet, but i told him to do whatever it needed. It's not leaking, so i'm ok 'til it's fixed.

Taking the bus over to Walmart to get these new glasses adjusted, the frames are soooo out of whack, or did i already say this....Hard to read.

Staying in as much as possible, can't take the heat. Not sure how hot it got yesterday but i think past the mid 90s.

Well, no news, so yall tc, and

Got it Done

The adjuster showed up a few days ago, super nice man, looked it all over, wrote me a check that day. Wow. He added on a lot more to be sure everything was covered! When i told him my new sewer line was right by the tree, he even added on 200.00 just in case i had to call the plumber to fix a leak. Everybody is asking,,, " who is your insurance company?"  lol.

The tree service came yesterday and cleaned it all up, totally. They even cut a broken limb down out back and took it too. They left about a 4" stump, because of the sewer line. I hope a tree will grow from the roots left. Gosh, i really need a shade on the West side. I'll get pics later today.

Went out to nephew's for a bbq for his daughter that just graduated. Lots of people, lots of food. Pork, beef, chicken. YUMMMM.

Still in pain all the time if i move. I can limp along carefully, and do what i have to. Not seeing the doc until 7-7!!! The MRI is 6-24, and whatever is needed, let's GET IT DONE!!!

My son's leg has improved enough that he walks on it with a brace that is adjustable, and his body brace. He is driving too. Carefully. Still have high hopes that leg will go back to normal. He's doing therapy, on his own. The one he was sent to was not the one he needed. Or so he said.

I told BB he had already named his cat,,, Damn Cat,,, DC for short. Remember that movie from years ago?

Well yall tc, and

Tree's A Problem

My bro said he wasn't about to touch it. If it's cut in the wrong place it will fall against the house and do more damage. Got a call in to a tree service,,, mercy!

Talked to my insurance company and they're gonna go ahead and send someone to survey the damage. I'm  hoping i can get my deductible absorbed by one of them.

Just got the call to schedule my MRI,, 6-3. Now, if i can  just do it. Swore i'd never do one again, now here i go. Well, gonna try.

I think the heat is on the way. No rain in forecast, 90s coming up. That tree made a lot of difference, shaded the west side. Really hate it's gone.

That's all i've got, folks, Just not much to blog about.

Wind Damage

Slept thru this, but when i got up during the night, i could see some of it. Thot it was just a big limb blown off. News said wind gusts of 61, 60 mph. Hate losing this one, shaded almost the whole west side of the house.

I called my insurance company and was told to go ahead and have my bro look and do an estimate. He just now showed up, been in Ausin, and said probably not much to fix it.

Don't even know how much it rained,,,, lol.

Quick Update

Nailed it.  He put an ephidural into the bottom of my spine so it would go upward and cover several disks, and it has....Almost immediately. The first 2, over a period of 2-3 years, in the hip did the same thing, but,, not this last one. Had to be into the spine. Eventually the openings on the spine where the nerves come out, will close up enough, it will take more than these blockers.

We've been having heavy rain most of the morning, so glad. We've missed the heavy stuff before this, and this area is where it's needed to refill the lakes.

Just now seeing the amtrac derailment on the news. Wow. Really bad. Up around your home area, DD.

Cleaned my ceiling fan this morning,,,,YUKKK, Why do i wait too long? I run it on low during the winter to push the heat down, then medium all the other times. That thing has run since i moved in here, almost 14 years ago.... good one, huh?

It's been cool enough, i dug out my fleece robe again... hahahah, just got it washed and hung. Feels darn good too.

Ok,, know these are boring, and no one except DD reads them, but there it is. Thx DD.
